Mr. Decker is the founder of E5 Therapy. He was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and immediately after high school graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps. While deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, he realized how much his Marines needed emotional and mental health support. Returning home, he completed a Bachelor of Sociology degree and a Master of Social Work degree. He is now a license clinical social worker in Northern California, focused on helping Veterans achieve their mental health goals.
Kimberly joined the E5 therapy team in August 2021. She is an active duty military spouse and has enjoyed moving around the country meeting new people. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology. Kimberly has been working as a Mental Health Provider since 2015. She holds a license in Professional Counseling and enjoys helping clients find peace and healing. Kimberly enjoys working with all clients including Children, Couples, Families, Active Duty and Veterans.
Larson was born in March, 2013 as part of a breeding program at the University of Canine Studies. He is 75% Golden Retriever and 25% Labrador Retriever. Larson trained for 3 years as a service dog, but found his calling as a speciality therapy dog. He has been working with Veterans for 4 years. His resume includes jobs at the Veterans Administration, crisis responses team at the Oroville Dam crisis, the 2018 Napa Sonoma fires, and 2019 Yountville Veterans Home shooting.
Hershey is a pure bred Chocolate Lab born in 2013 and joined the E5 Therapy team as Kimberly’s co-therapist. Hershey has been working hard training to become a well trained therapy dog and emotional support dog. Hershey enjoys coming into work everyday and giving clients lots of love and attention. If you are lucky enough to enjoy her company you will get to see how enthusiastic she is when she greets new people.
Maggie passed away in August of 2021 after a battle with cancer. She resides on the top shelf of Matt's office, where she can oversee the work that her brother, Larson does. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Maggie is a rescue dog from New Mexico found at Loving Labs. She was born in 2009 and got her first therapy certification in 2011. Since that time she has saved multiple lives including alerting her co-therapist to the suicidal intent and homicidal intent of clients. Maggie has been described by her clients as an emotional sponge that never stops absorbing. She has worked for community mental health agencies, the Veterans Administration, the Department of Defense, and California Department of State Hospitals. Maggie is now in retirement working part time as she feels like it, usually one day per week.
