Couples counseling

Our Goal when working with couples is to create a balanced framework that emphasizes both evidence-based interventions and the therapeutic relationship's emotional depth.

Our clinicians are culturally competent with the challenges of both Military life and First Response.

Some methods our clinicians use to do this is.

  • Gottman Method: Focuses on empirical research to address relationship dynamics, enhance communication, manage conflict, and build emotional intimacy. It provides structured interventions that target specific aspects of a relationship.
  • Person-Centered Approach: Emphasizes unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity. It centers on creating a supportive environment where couples feel understood and validated.

We believe in empathy and validation. To prioritizing understanding in each partner's perspective without judgment. We use person-centered techniques to ensure that each person feels heard and validated, creating a safe space for vulnerability

Couples Therapy Outcome Goals:

  • Resilience and Connection: The aim is to equip couples with the tools to navigate challenges while deepening their emotional bond, ensuring that both partners feel seen, heard, and valued.
  • Personal Growth within the Relationship: Encourage each partner's growth within the relationship, acknowledging individual needs and goals while fostering a strong, supportive partnership.

This philosophy brings together structured, research-backed strategies, with the warmth and empathy of a person-centered approach, offering a comprehensive path to relationship healing and growth.
